State Senator Daylin Leach of Pennsylvania is about to introduce
legislation that can profoundly improve access to eating disorders treatment in
PA. This is our opportunity to gather individuals, families and their stories
about the extrordinary lack of access to eating disorders treatment in our
state.
The State Senate needs to hear what their constituents are facing in order
to fully grasp the power they have to improve the lives of eating disorders
suffers and their families.

We are pleased to inform you that State Senator Daylin Leach of
Pennsylvania is introducing legislation that will require Pennsylvania insurers
to cover residential facilities treating eating disorders. This important
legislation will improve access to essential care for thousands of
Pennsylvanians who suffer from eating disorders, yet have not been able to
access the necessary treatment.
The SHELBY Project is excited about the potential impact this bill could
have on thousands of individuals who are turned away for treatment each year and
